What is a green window in NBA 2K27?
The green window is the slice of time in which releasing the shot gives a perfect release. A wider window is more forgiving, which is why two jump shots that look equally fast can feel completely different. We measure that window millisecond by millisecond on retail hardware rather than estimating it from the animation.
How do you measure the green windows?
Every jump shot on this site is tested the same way: Superstar difficulty, open catch-and-shoot, shot meter off, no badges and no boosts, with the release hold stepped in millisecond increments and the result logged automatically. 5,183 logged shots across 29 jump shots so far. Because the conditions never change, the numbers are comparable between jumpers - which is the whole point.
Does your height decide which jumpshot you can use in NBA 2K27?
Yes, and the rule is stricter than most people expect. A base printed as "Height Under 6'5" locks a 6'5 build OUT - the ceiling is exclusive. A floor works the other way: "At Least 6'10" does allow a 6'10 build. A base with both is a band. Every height page here applies that rule for you instead of making you read it off the base.
Do you need a certain 3PT rating to use a jumpshot?
Each base also carries a rating minimum, and either the mid-range or the three-point rating qualifies on its own - you do not need both. That rating is what lets you EQUIP the base. It is not a rating we tested at, and it says nothing about how the jump shot performs.
